Paul Davey is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in hand and wrist problems, which means that he treats conditions from the elbow to the fingertips. He has an NHS consultant post at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and sees private patients at The New Victoria Hospital in Kingston, The Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, St Anthony's Hospital in North Cheam and the BMI Syon Clinic in Isleworth.
Paul is an honours graduate in Neurobiology who went on to study medicine. He graduated from the University of London in 1990. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1995 and passed his specialist examinations in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2000.
His post graduate training was based on the rotation out of St George's Hospital and included a 12 month fellowship in hand and wrist surgery in the department of plastic surgery at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
Paul has been the clinical lead for the department of Trauma and Orthopaedic from 2006 to 2009. Since then he has been examining for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has examined in the United Kingdom as well as Burma and India.
Paul has over 25 years of experience as a doctor and has been a consultant specialising in hand and wrist surgery at consultant level for the last 14 years.
Paul treats injuries to the forearm, wrist and hand as well as treating non-traumatic conditions such as nerve compression, osteoarthritis, trigger finger, Dupuytren's contractures, ganglia and ligament and tendon problems.
